Ignis Umbra are completely free realistics Assetto Corsa graphics created by Ignis Graphics.
The idea behind the project is to make a high-quality, immersive gaming experience accessible to all players on the simulation developed by Kunos.
Whilst a paid subscription would normally be required, Ignis Graphics allows players (who own the game and the necessary mods) to enjoy a high-quality graphics pack for free.
Graphics
Ignis Umbra offers total immersion in the game, day or night and whatever the weather.
Sophisticated lighting and carefully controlled brightness give the pack a photo realistic look, enhancing the gaming experience corner after corner.
Enjoy magnificent sunsets during your sessions and savour night-time driving under a fabulous starry sky accompanied by the Northern Lights.
You’ll appreciate every detail of the cars you drive, both inside and out; the Ignis Umbra renders the reflections on the bodywork, the interiors and the car lights realistically, making you feel as though you’re behind the wheel of your favourite racing car.
To enhance immersion and realism in the game, the graphics pack includes speed effects, head movement and camera effects.
Whatever the road conditions, whether in fog or rain, detail and immersion are guaranteed, for an ever more immersive gaming experience.
Contents of these free realistics Assetto Corsa Graphics
These free realistics Assetto Corsa Graphics consists of several files containing the settings required for it to function correctly and enabling the Ignis Umbra to achieve this level of visual quality in-game.
You will therefore find the following files and settings:
- Dedicated Pure Config: the core of the graphics pack, containing settings for brightness, weather, the sky, shaders and more.
- PP filter, which, as its name suggests, includes colour adjustments, saturation, exposure, lighting effects and speed effects.
- The CSP (Custom Shaders Patch) settings complement the adjustments made with Pure; they affect the pack’s visual quality, managing the lighting on the circuits and on the cars, as well as the realism of the rain.
- Dedicated Neck FX and Chase Camera features are extensions included in the CSP; one enables realistic head movements in first-person view during acceleration, braking and changes of direction. The other operates in third-person view, with dynamic camera tracking to enhance the sense of speed.
- Video settings include options relating to texture quality, post-processing, shadows and in-game resolution.
- Reshade settings provide the final touches to the pack. External to Assetto Corsa and the Content Manager, they add lens effects, vignetting, glows and depth to the in-game rendering.
All the components in the pack are required to achieve the in-game rendering; without any of these settings or files, the rendering would not be as intended by Ignis Graphics.
Prerequisites
Ignis Umbra is a free graphics pack; however, it is simply a collection of graphics settings made available by Ignis Graphics in the form of files, and therefore does not include the tools used to create and run it, some of which are paid for. You will therefore need to download these separately from the graphics pack. Here is the list:
- Assetto Corsa, available at a discount on Instant Gaming, Standard or Ultimate edition
- Content Manager, by Ilya Jusupov (free)
- Custom Shaders Patch (CSP), by Ilya Jusupov ($1/month).
Only take out a subscription when you download the latest version of the CSP light patch; you can then cancel it. IMPORTANT! The current version of the pack only works with version: lights-patch-v0.3.0-preview542 of the CSP.
- Pure, by Peter Bose ($1/month), works in the same way as the CSP.
IMPORTANT! The current version of the pack only works with version 3.50 of Pure.
- Auroras (free), a complementary shader for Pure that enables the Northern Lights.
- Reshade, v6.8.0 (free)

Installation

The pack contains the following files:
- IG_Umbra.lua — A Pure script that controls all lighting and weather rendering in the pack.
- IG_Umbra.ini — Post-processing filter (PPfilter) associated with the pack.
- IG_Umbra.ini — Pure configuration (lighting, fog, sky, shaders) calibrated for the pack.
- IG_Umbra_ScriptSettings.ini — Settings specific to the Pure script (tonemapping, bloom, depth of field, etc.).
- IG_UmbraReShadePreset.ini — ReShade preset for final image adjustment.
- IGNIS_chase_camera — Custom chase camera (ICC), with its script and settings.
- IGNIS_neck_fx — Custom cockpit camera (INFX, Neck FX effect), with its script and settings.
It also contains the CSP and Video settings to be configured in Content Manager.
